Ingredients:

- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350F 175C and grease a 9x9 inch baking pan
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter
Stir in cocoa until smooth
In a separate bowl, beat eggs and sugar until well combined
Stir in vanilla extract
Gradually add the cocoa mixture into the egg mixture, stirring until smooth
Fold in the flour and salt until just combined
Do not overmix
Gently stir in your choice of mix-ins
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs, but not wet batter
Allow the brownies to cool completely before cutting into squares
